Where In California Will The Big One Hit?

In this recent article published by ABC News, scientists detail the impact of the 7.5 quake expected to hit California within the next few decades; what residents refer to as the Big One.

Its been 26 years since the Loma Prieta earthquake struck San Francisco with a magnitude at 6.9. There was extensive damage throughout the city.

The below map illustrates the populated areas, as shown by more dense road areas, that experienced earthquakes in 2014. Looking at this graphic, you can see the San Andreas fault line as it travels south down the coast of California and imagine what areas are likely to be effected.
